Campsite 52 at North Bend Park in Boydton, Virginia.

Lake Kerr is about a three hour drive from our home in Newport News. So when we are looking for a quick getaway, we often camp at one of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers campgrounds on Kerr Reservoir. (By the way, Kerr Reservoir is also called Buggs Island Lake.)

North Bend Park in Boydton is the closest and easiest to access, about straight shot from U.S. 58. North Bend Park has a very large campground with more than 230 campsites, may of them with direct water access.
