FD Roosevelt State Park is located in Pine Mountain, Georgia, about 25 minutes from Columbus and down the road from Callaway Gardens. At 10,874 acres, it's Georgia's largest state park. The campground has 115 tent, trailer and RV sites.
Many of those sites are on one of the two lakes in the park.
We visited in wintertime, so the trees were bare. During the spring and summer months, those trees will provide nice shade and separation between sites.
We found the bathhouse in Area #3 to be clean and tidy.

Roosevelt's Little White House State Historic Site in Warm Springs is a short drive from FD Roosevelt State Park, and it's definitely worth a visit. On our second visit to the State Park, we spent an afternoon at the Little White House, where FDR went to get relief from polio, and where he died.
The Man O' War Trail is a 13.4 mile that follows the path of a retired diesel railroad of the same name. It connects Pine Mountain and Hamilton with parking at either end, and plenty of places to stop for refreshments.
